Str!ve to thr!ve

So unfortunately for us we did not have internet connection in order to blog as we had hoped. Now I think it may have been for the best, because we got to spend quality time with each other, the other participants, and most of all in the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Without much of a structure, I would just like to share some thoughts on this weekend. First of all, for those who have never been to PEI, if any opportunity presents itself, GO FOR IT!!! Very beautiful place. The kind of place that feels sanctified almost like it has never been touched. Just kept whole and fresh waiting for you to arrive. Lol. But back to the retreat!

Personally I had heard previously of our call to live like saints, and much like everyone else I always imagined it to be something unattainable. But after this weekend, it has become much more clear to me that being a saint means living fully the kind of life that Jesus imagined for each one of us. It means setting your heart to God and fixing your gaze at Him so that each step you take will be guided by Him and through the help of the Holy Spirit we may be Perfect just as our Heavenly Father is perfect.

I also gained a perspective of what our lives should be here on this earth. As George told us, our lives here in comparison to Eternity to come is almost nothing. So why bother about what people think, and why set your heart to please man or gain earthly things when in the end, they all shall pass?

And as Roy told us, we should be able to live our lives so that when we tell others of Jesus, we can CONFIDENTLY tell them "Be imitators of me, just as I am of Jesus Christ"

And then I realized that I couldn't say that to anyone that I met because I am far off from what Jesus wants. And so the journey starts now, to strip away all things that are keeping me away from living the life that Christ destined for me, to win souls all for his glory, and to live my life here on earth in such a saintly way that when I am gone, I shall be with my Heavenly father. :)

The beginning (Mimi)

So I'm not completely sure what PEI looks like but I hope it's as blue and green as this background (or what I desired it to be). :D

THE DEETS!

So a few of us Jesus Youth are going to PEI for the Thr!ve Conference! Woohooo! And while we're there and on our way, we thought it would be really cool to blog and let you know all at home know what's going on too! (Truth: I love when people blog so I thought this would be super cool and beautiful to look back, and I am going to force my friends into blogging while we're there, so ha. They actually don't even know this exists yet.) Pray for us!

By the by, we are:
Mike
Hazel
Mimi
Genny
Max
Jose
and Ajith uncle our wonderful kind and precious driver. (Unless he lets us take turns which would be SO cool).

What we're doing? Basically just joining the crowd, interceding, loving, being all that we can be. We're praying to grow closer as a team as well. One really cool thing we plan to do is pray for cities as we pass them, and find extraordinary and ordinary ways to be missionary. In so many ways this is a mission trip, let's pray for what He's got in store for us- even while we're on the road!

It's beautiful to see how excited we all are- I'll let them tell you themselves- but everyone's so on fire to go. I think, in some  way or the other, God's shown each of us over and over His faithfulness, and we can't help have a SURE HOPE (almost a paradox) that He will do something beautiful here.

Your prayers are so important- for us and those we will meet. And I trust you know so too. :) So thanks!

Ok finished. THE JOY OF EASTER AND THE RISEN CHRIST TO ERRBODYYY!

God bless!
